Patience is not always a virtue...

12 hours on the countdown clock and we decided to load up and leave town -and for all of you doubters, all 7 of us and our bags did fit in the Suburban. The Turtle is free, clear and ready for the treasures of the trip.

Two things that were on the three page packing list and the key to making it past Little Rock on night one. It is amazing how many things on the list were still forgotten.

In Arkansas (before Little Rock) we found a great spot for our picnic dinner. We mainly indulged in polishing off Annalee's birthday cake -mom's famous three layer chocolate cake, because Victor filled us up with homemade ribs before we left.

Of course our perfect picnic place had ducks (lots of ducks). The kids were happy, the ducks were happy...
