Hey batter batter

Our second Roadside America find was also one of the highlights of our Louisville visit -The Slugger Museum and Factory.
We witnessed the making of the famous Louisville Slugger bats and (no less cool) saw the largest baseball bat in the U.S.
We also hung out with some of the greats.
It seems Louisville is full of all sorts of bats :)
The wierdness in Louisville might offer Austin some competition.
The Kentucky Derby Museum inspired a couple of us to grow up (at least to the teenage years), buy racehorses, and ride in the Derby.

Here is a test of your Derby trivia. I'll start you with a hint, there have been 135 Derby's run.
Question: How many horses have won the Derby?
...
Answer: None. Horses only have one shot to run the Derby -when they are 3. By the age of five, colts and fillies are called horses. So, horses are too old to run the Derby ;)
Fashion, horses, and a University -I think Louisville just made Breier's potential college list.

Corbett's was our dinner destination -a restored 1800's farm house serving dishes composed of locally grown produce. The Costco shattered our idyllic vision, but dinner in the cellar restored our enthusiasm. We ate four courses, had an in depth conversation about the nature and besting of zombies, tried fried macaroni and cheese (it is perfectly o.k. to eat this in public at a fine dining facility), drank rootbeer from pilsner glasses, and chased everything with very delectable deserts.
Tomorrow...Pennsylvania and a new pipe cleaner art gallery.

I had no idea Louisville was so cool! I love the giant bat. Both of them, actually. Glad y'all are having fun!
